Blogatics

The person I interviewed was my aunt. Her name Joyce Henderson and her key experience was around the age of 12 years old. There was this woman who was a republican and  that was her first hearing anyone from that party views. She was a big supporter of segregation. She hated that idea and want nothing to do with anyone or party that supported that belief. She became a democrat like the rest of her family.

Even though she is a part of the democratic party, when it comes to being liberal or conservative she's independent. When she got older she gain knowledge and understanding of politics which lead to her being open minded with political points of views. "If it's right, then it's right"  she said to me when i asked if she would agree with any republican point of views today.

My political identity was really decided in 2004 when Kerry ran against Former president Bush. Before then I didn't really acknowledged politics i just didn't really care. Bush was a president that seemed like he didn't really wanted to run and someone just put him up to it. He was one of the most powerful men in america and i felt he didn't have a game plan. I felt that he was just a front for a group of people who had ideas to shape america. Bush had the accolade of being promoted first lieutenant in 1970. He has medals but some are questionable, but people don't look into the truth that much so that makes him a perfect front. When he became president wars started and he didn't try to resolve it like a president should.

I find people vote for liberals or conservative because even though they don't agree with all there party's politics they feel it's better than nothing. Others feel if they try to compromise than they might have to give up most of there ideals. This is why people don't always vote for the best president just the one that there party chooses. I only voted once and it was for Obama.

  1.    Who did you vote for? Why? My aunt voted democrat. she was really interested in Obama campaign. She voted for him to see how he would carry out his plans. The points she really was interested in Obama campaign was social security, medical reform and taxes.
  2.    What do you consider your self liberal, conservative, or independent? She considers her self as independence.
  3.    What shaped your views? The thing that shaped her views on politics was her years of knowledge
  4.    Any past experience that changed your ideals? My aunt was a paralegal. She worked for criminal attorney and corporeal law. these things shaped her morals
  5.    Who would u vote for in the future? It would probably be an candidate on the democrat card. Some one like Biden.

  1. Yanhi,

This is a good post. I like the pictures you chose (very good metaphors) and your concepts are spot on.

I would like to see you go further into detail, by discussing some specific policies. Segregation is a great example, but what other policies did you discuss (taxes, abortion, war, etc.)?

The instructions call for you to come up with 5 more questions. These extra questions may have helped you to collect more details/content.

Your writing is very good. You have great sentence structure and a great pace in your language. It's correct, and it's easy to read. Very good.

Always capitalize proper nouns, such as "I" and "America".

Overall, this is pretty good work, but try to include more details about specific facts (in this case policies and politics). Always be specific with information.
